Had a beyond fantastic day yesterday. First experience with SUP yoga and while it took some getting used to, it’s definitely something I want to do again. Add a boat ride, braving my fear of heights and jumping off the upper deck of a pontoon boat, lake hair, a bonfire, good food and excellent company. Half Moon, aka Ardha Chandrasana, is one of my favorite poses. A hip and hamstring opener, core and leg strengthener, and last but not least a chest opener, it’s definitely a full body experience. It lengthens the hamstrings, spine and calves while strengthening the core, as well as calming the mind and helping to gain better balance. Standing Split is also helpful prep for handstand too!
